Sometimes you just have to put your gear to the test to see how well it’ll hold up.

There are a lot of high-quality rods out there for saltwater fishing that can stand up to the most rigorous testing.

Who else has brought a big fish into the boat by this method and gotten away with it?

He almost took out more than one expensive rod. We have to hope that one was destined for the cooler because bouncing your catch off of the deck isn’t conducive to catch and release.
