Although Iowa has one of the lowest percentages of public lands in the United States, it still needs to be managed . Enter todays guest, Curt Kemmerer. Curt is a wildlife biologist on the eastern side of the state and covers over 17,000 acres with his team. From wildlife management areas used by hunters to the Mississippi River, Curt talks about how they approach the land and how they prioritize their yearly objectives.
Curt also dives in to how the state allocates deer tags, the damage caused by the Emerald Ash Bore, and the impact of CWD on the deer heard.
